security risks
Protests are extremely rare and almost always peaceful.
Terror attacks in the U.A.E. remain rare, although there is occasional information about possible plots in the country. The Iran – backed Yemeni group Ansar Allah, known as the Houthis, launched several ballistic missiles and drones against Abu Dhabi in January 2022. Attacks could restart if the U.A.E. resumes its air campaign in Yemen and/or redeploys allied militias to Houthi – controlled or contested territories.
Criminal activity is low compared to most U.S. metropolitan areas.
