Business travel to Israel is restricted to business-critical and must be approved beforehand by the GMO, Ryan Ott, and Country Security & ER Manager, Nir Barnea.

All travelers to Israel must then take the following actions:

Forward a copy of the approvals to CWT or to their designated travel agent in order for tickets to be issued
Work through their Israel BU sponsor to arrange all in-country transport, accommodation, and domestic travel requirements
Use only company approved transportation. No other transport is permitted

The Hamas-Israel war has created a volatile security environment. Discrete triggers for major escalation include crossing of political or military redlines, mass casualty events, or unilateral revisions to the rules of engagement by parties to the conflict.

Vehicular, stabbing, shooting, and bombing attack risks have increased since the start of the war. While terror risks are highest in East Jerusalem and the West Bank, attacks do occur within Israel’s pre-1967 borders. Gaza-based militant groups launch occasional rocket attacks into southern Israel. Hezbollah conducts frequent drone and missile attacks against northern Israel. Iran-aligned militant groups launch occasional drone attacks against Israeli cities. Mass demonstrations, which may turn violent, recur within Israel’s major cities.

	Low	Low levels of non-violent crime may be present in business and tourist districts, hotels or other locations frequented by travelers, but violent crime is infrequent. Terrorist groups have limited operational capabilities or security and emergency services have the capacity to detect or adequately respond to a potential attack. Protests are mostly non-violent and rarely disrupt regular commerce, transportation and business operations. Industrial action and transport disruption are infrequent.
	Elevated	Crime is not pervasive, but non-violent and violent crime could impact visitors. Periodic political unrest, protests, and/or sporadic acts of terrorism occur, but are unlikely to directly impact business travelers. The capacity of security and emergency services and infrastructure varies. Industrial action can disrupt travel.
	High	Crime and terrorism pose significant direct or incidental risks to travelers. Anti-government or anti-western demonstrations may be commonplace or violent and could delay or prevent travel. Parts of the country are inaccessible or off-limits to the traveler.

Advanced care is on an emergency-only basis because of concerns about access, competence, communications in English, medical culture, follow up, hygiene, etc. or care is available for basic needs and sometimes for diagnostics only. Few or no non-clinical adjunctive care resources are present. Endemic diseases may be present with irregular or poor control. Chevron has limited or no internal health support and relies on limited external health care resources or external health resources are unreliable. Business travelers should strongly consider consulting with Global Health and Medical prior to travel.
