Business travel to Kazakhstan is permitted and there are no security-based restrictions at this time. However, all domestic and international travelers who visit Almaty for TCO-related business, must inform the Almaty office of their travel plans in writing once travel has been booked and confirmed.

All travelers on business to any destination in Kazakhstan for the Eurasia Business Unit (EBU) must inform the Almaty Chevron office of their travel plans in writing once travel has been booked and confirmed. Review the EBU Visitor Information page for additional travel guidance.

Terrorism remains a potential security concern in Kazakhstan, as several hundred Kazakhstanis are reported to have fought with the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq.
