security risks
The RoC has generally been politically stable since the end of its civil war in 1999. The March 2021 elections occurred with little violence. Labor union and public sector strikes do occur, but rarely lead to widespread violence.
Transit of the Pool region, located just to the east of Brazzaville, poses risks given sporadic banditry, residual rebel activity and sporadic military operations there. Travel to/through the Pool region is prohibited.
Petty crime occurs across the country and is particularly acute in the vicinity of Pointe Noire's beaches.
healthcare infrastructure and disease risks
